Interacting Issues (Poverty, Racism & Food Justice)

Poverty, racism and food justice are often treated as independent issues but in reality, there is intersectionality amongst the ways that poverty and racism interact in the context of Ontario’s food systems. Speakers will discuss their experiences working with low-income communities and their accessibility to food, low wages, colonialism, and food justice. The discussion will be constructive, supportive but action oriented focusing on these key issues.
