From Evaluation to Advocacy: Building the Case for Good Food Programs for Children and Youth

Those who deliver good food programs to children and youth (food literacy, farm to school, meal programs, etc) are often asked to communicate the impacts of their efforts, especially to decision-makers and funders. The session’s presenters, using Pecha Kucha presentations, will share project stories, research efforts, tools, language and approaches along the continuum from program evaluation to communications and advocacy. The presentations will be followed by a discussion about how participants can apply the substance of the presentations to better evaluate and make a stronger case for their own programs.
